It began as an offer of help to John Simmons from me. It led to an email asking for Pearlfisher’s help with the website for 26 Treasures. It extended into a proposal to…

Each writer taking part in 26 Treasures is responding to their object in 62 words. Why 62 words? Because 26 Treasures is about reflection - a person’s reflection on an object. Reflect 26. You get 62.

Random But True A few days ago I went GoApeing with a few people. If you don’t know GoApeing is then you’re not living right. High flying, tight rope walking, brilliant and heart pumping fun.
So I met up with 6 other people. I thought I only knew 2 of them but apparently I had met all of them at masked party a month before.
It got interesting when they all started describing what masks they were wearing. I remembered the short lady with a red feathered Venetian mask, another lady with a cute and small face gripping mask and a few others.
While they described their masks I stood amazed at how much I had assumed about the people behind the masks. Even with a graphic imagination like mine I had gotten it completely wrong on how I felt these people looked behind the masks. They were not drastic disparities like a lady actually having a moustache or anything, but they were big enough for me to remember that you simply don’t know till you know. Nothing is ever what it seems.
By the way, the picture attached is my mask. It was a fun day. I wonder what they thought I’d look like or be like.
Awww…this must be the mushiest site I’ve ever designed. But they are just the nicest couple. Beautiful photography on this one too.
It’s funny how close to a client/individual you get when working with them especially on personal sites such as this. It’s always a chance to build meaningful relationships. It’s not always strictly about the work. www.bolalovesyeni.com/
A short while ago, I was at my church and realised how many people there were out of work. The recession had played a big part in this but I also felt people didn’t know how or where to make use of their skills and talent to earn an income outside of a 9-5.
There were so many people needing services and so many people able to provide these services all under one roof, but one small problem. They were not connected.
So working with a small team for a few months HomeForAll came to life.
Branded as the platform to React, Reconnect and Rebuild, it simply allows people, primarily within my church to share information on jobs, career advice, business and volunteering opportunities, accommodation and really anything else that can help people grow in different aspects of their lives. It’s about sharing.
